COVID-19 Waiver and Release Form

December 10, 2021

Dear Music Teachers, Parents, Accompanists and Students

We are getting ready for Yorkton Music Festival 2021.  This year we have shifted our festival format due to the COVID 19 pandemic to a pre- recorded festival.  The Yorkton Music Festival will provide a videographer to record performances which then will be uploaded to an unlisted YouTube account and then linked to participants’ registration on (MFS).  From there our adjudicators will be able to view all performances and provide an adjudication.   Sessions will not be scheduled as they have in the past.  We will schedule recording times by family group to minimize contact and provide cleaning required between each participant.  Recording times will be made during the first weeks of March.  If COVID restrictions increase and we are no longer able to do the taping sessions then we will look into enabling music festival participants to tape themselves.

Only solo and duet entries (from the same household) are available for competition this year.  Entries open on January 1

Deadline for Entry Wednesday, January 20, 2021.  (Late entries cannot be accepted after Friday, January 22 as the system will be closed.)

Music Festival Suite software allows our volunteers to maximize their efforts in scheduling and planning our festival while keeping your personal information exceptionally secure.  Our festival’s version of MFS is at

As MFS requires everyone to create a profile, it also gives Teachers, Parents, Accompanists and Students the ability to interact with their registrations long after they’ve been submitted.  Teachers will be able to see their students’ registrations on one screen.  Paying for all registrations at once is possible through PayPal, whether you have an account with them or not.  All the information can be accessed from any device with Internet connectivity, whether it is a computer or mobile phone.

Here are some instructional videos which I have found very helpful:

This is our second year using this system. MFS has tried to make this as easy as possible. A complete Registration Guide and information on setting up your profile is available at specific instructions for parents registering your child is on page 15.  See Page 12 for teachers Registering their own students.
